Let's face it, selling a house can be a stressful experience. Lynne Tucker made selling our home, however, a stress-free event. Lynne provided concierge-level service and handled every detail from preparing the home for listing through the closing process. Along the way, Lynne leveraged her extensive support network of professionals to assist in staging the home, making necessary repairs, and marketing the listing. In addition, Lynne's advice was spot-on with respect to pricing and negotiation. Lynne was responsive, knowledgeable, and patient. Lynne Tucker was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend her.
I cannot recommend Lynne highly enough. She was recommended to us by a friend, and it was a truly a wonderful match. She is warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated to her clients. Lynne was always readily available to answer any questions, concerns or issues that may have arisen. She was efficient, professional and thorough in explaining the home-selling process, getting the house listed, and provided frequent updates regarding interest and activity in the property as well as comparable properties in the surrounding area. The home was under contract within 4 days of being listed, receiving a very strong offer. The follow-through with the remainder of the process, up through and including the closing, was again thorough, professional, and went VERY smoothly. We had a wonderful experience with Lynne and we are truly grateful!
Lynne helped me to decide on what type of home I wanted to purchase for the future. She suggested places and kept me updated on what homes were available in areas that interested me. And when I wanted to see something, she picked me up and took me everywhere. When I made my final choice, she helped me get my current home ready for sale with contacts for staging, yard cleanup, carpet cleaning, etc. She has really made my sale and future purchase easier than I ever expected. Finally, she has become a good friend as well as my agent.

After having a less than stellar experience a few years ago that resulted in no purchase, I was a bit apprehensive about getting back into the buying market. Lynne is a very capable realtor, period. She made sure to let me dream about the home I wanted without letting me check too far out of reality, she helped me avoid several pitfalls of properties I suggested and responded quickly when the property I ultimately bought had to be moved on quickly. Now she was very helpful in helping me find my property, but where she really shined was in everything from that point to closing. Lynne had great advice for me when I had to rebid, kept up with me on every item that needed to addressed between my bid being accepted and the time I signed my name at closing. I would glowingly recommend this realtor to anyone looking for a home in this at times very difficult market.

Lynne had extensive knowledge of the area we were searching and advised us in many ways. She not only knew the neighborhoods but of the county's future planning that might impact us. During closing and settlement, Lynne's understanding of the home-buying process and negotiation skills proved invaluable. She made sure we had all of the pre-approval forms done correctly (We had forgotten how many there were, and when it came to negotiation, she gave us advice and options we hadn't thought about. Lynne has a no-nonsense, advisor style and is easy to approach. In the end she wasn't our realtor, but our "home therapist."

Relocation is stressful, and no one looks forward to it. When you’re relocating, you want to surround yourself with the best professionals in the industry. We found Lynne Tucker when we relocated to the Washington, DC, area. We knew that we needed someone who 1) knows the greater DC area, 2) is diligent in following up and working above and beyond showing us houses, and 3) communicates with us directly and honestly about choices and/or compromises we are making. From research, to showings, to negotiations, to closing, Lynne was there every step of the way, always diligent in her follow-up. What was even more appreciated was her care in researching potential homes, providing advanced surveys of each home prior to us seeing it, complete with market comparisons and her “opinion” on the homes.
All too often, realtor references can only offer a single perspective – buying a home or selling a home. We are delighted to offer Lynne a second reference after reselling the same home two years after buying it. We didn’t give a second thought to reselling this house with Lynne. Similar to her diligence in the purchase of our home in Potomac, Lynne demonstrated the same diligence and market research in selling out home, including professional photography, surveys, pricing, marketing pricing, marketing plan, and, of course, all of the showings. We had a lot of showings, almost 70 in total. The result was delightful, with multiple offers over list price. The house was under contract in less than two weeks on MLS, with smooth negotiations and a smooth closing. Along the way she was always there to do the extras, from reading the water meter to checking that the lawn service mowed the yard!
It would be great if Lynne would consider relocating wherever we went. Her professionalism, knowledge about the housing market, and responsive attention to detail alleviated much of the stress of buying and selling a house.
We could not have sold out house in Takoma Park without Lynne's help. We had moved to Colorado, too far to travel back and forth often. We wanted to put the house in the best possible condition before it sold, so Lynne had professionals from all the trades visit the house to make suggestions about what needed to be done. She and we worked together to decide what to address, and then Lynne coordinated all the work in a timely manner. She worked independently, only contacting us occasionally, and updating us. There was a tenant living in the house while the work was being done, and Lynne managed to have all the work done with a minimum of inconvenience for our tenant.
Once the house was on the market, it sold very quickly, with multiple offers above the asking price, because Lynne had thoroughly researched the price, and worked with other real estate experts to come to the right amount. She staged the house to show it off in the best way and then arranged to donate the furniture we didn't take with us. It was very important to us that the whole affair was handled with integrity and fairness, which Lynne consistently did. There were no surprises on the way to closing. Throughout the entire seven-month process we only traveled to Takoma Park twice to sort through our own furniture and boxes we had left there when we moved. We could not have made a better choice in whom to work with in selling our house.
Selling one’s home is a challenging process: In addition to the emotional aspect of leaving your home, there is the matter of getting your place ready for the market, setting a price, and dealing with offers and feedback on your home. All of these were true for me when I put my beloved condo on the market in the fall of 2012. I felt completely confident in Lynne’s capable hands, as she steered me through the phases of listing, from staging my home, having the photographer in, and walking me through the realtor-client contract. She discussed all of my options and gave me solid advice.
My condo sold rather quickly, and things were moving along swimmingly. Lynne kept on top of all of the details for the sale: the appraisal, the buyers’ mortgage, the home inspection, and so on. At the last minute, less than a week before closing, there was a gigantic, unexpected event that put everything in jeopardy: The owner of the management company that worked with our association was accused by the State of Maryland of financial improprieties, and all financial accounts were frozen. Lynne was quick to identify what steps should be taken: Have the treasurer and the board identify and be sure that all of the association’s accounts, including the reserve, still existed; identify how the bills would be paid in the interim; and get a letter from the board indicating that all funds were accounted for and that the condo association was in no financial jeopardy. The buyer was satisfied with the financial condition, and the sale closed on time as scheduled. Without Lynne’s quick thinking and skill at navigating the situation, I am confident the sale would have fallen through.
So, if you are considering hiring Lynne to represent you in your sale or purchase of a home, I think you should go for it. She has a high level of empathetic professionalism that will make the process – which is universally challenging – as smooth as possible.
Our experience with Lynne Tucker as our realtor could not have been better. I was looking for an investment property in the Washington area that my young adult daughter could reside in. That meant that the place had to meet not just my criteria but also my daughter’s — which was a tall order to be sure! We were still unclear as to what that property would look like, where it would be located, etc. Lynne helped us really organize our overlapping ideas and intuited what we were trying to visualize extremely well — showing us properties that we were delighted to discover, with a range of choices. Lynne was personally great in the process, making everything easier than I could have imagined, in terms of her availability, interactions with both of us individually and together, following through with contacts, communication with contractors, and the necessary real estate agreements and meetings. She continued to be available with smart ideas and a wonderfully pleasant, confident and relaxed manner when we had questions, as long as we needed, making the whole affair easy and a very positive experience. (This was not at all the case when I bought my original home, using a different realtor). I highly recommend Lynne.
My wife and I really had an amazing experience with Lynne when we were searching for our new home. She was very patient, easy to work with and very accommodating to our timelines and needs. Buying a home, especially your first home, can be intimidating and overwhelming. Lynne made the entire experience better for us and we found a great home because of her.
However, we think what really separates Lynne from other realtors we know or have met, is that even after the sale, she has been just as engaged and responsive to our questions about home ownership. She takes her client relationships seriously and provides additional service even after the fact. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking in the DC area.

I am very pleased to recommend the services of Lynne Tucker for anyone interested in real estate transactions in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area. I was fortunate enough to have Lynne's assistance during my own search for, and purchase of, a residence in the Bethesda area. Throughout the process, she proved to be a very valuable asset. She was very knowledgeable of area markets and properties; was familiar with a host of related agencies (for home inspection, titling, lending, etc.); and served in my own interests at all times. Given additional complexities involved in the particular property I was interested in, I was especially appreciative of her networking capabilities and overall perseverance.
Based on the above, I would be pleased to work with Lynne Tucker again and would highly recommend her to others seeking similarly excellent services. Should you have any questions regarding this matter, feel free to contact me at any time.
We just want to say it has been a very wonderful, positive experience when it came time for us to buy our first home, and we give a lot of the credit to you. Your knowledge of the properties and the market made it possible for our dreams to come true, and we can’t thank you enough. We look forward to many years to come in our new home. Thanks again!

We moved to Silver Spring from Australia in October 2010. We were so lucky to find Lynne as she helped us find the perfect house. She understood immediately what we were looking for and spent so much time showing us houses all throughout the Silver Spring area. Moving from overseas, we were extremely difficult customers and Lynne was exceptionally patient. She even won over our two-year-old. She is exceptionally professional and personable.

When we relocated to Greater Washington, we were not in a hurry to purchase right away. So when we began casually looking at our options, we weren’t in the market for a real estate agent. But the first time we met Lynne something clicked, and we trusted her immediately. We both knew that we wanted her to help us find our new home. She listened to us, understood exactly what we wanted, and tailored our search for the perfect house. And it worked! Within months we were homeowners, and we could not be more pleased. Buying a house can be very stressful, but Lynne made it easy and fun. Throughout our search, Lynne became part of our family, and we will always be indebted to her for her role in finding our new home.
We used Lynne Tucker to find a rental when we moved here from Michigan and again when we decided to buy in the area. Lynne listened to our needs and wants, then showed us places that matched. She was very patient with us and kept in close communication especially during our purchase. We would use Lynne again and recommend her for your real estate needs.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Lynne on the purchase of my first home. While the experience of purchasing a new home can be very overwhelming, her expertise made me feel at ease. Throughout the process she was always there working for me and keeping me informed. I felt confident that that with her help the process would be painless. My expectations were shattered!! Lynne really went above and beyond in making this a wonderful experience on the road to becoming a new homeowner. Thank you so much!!
I am so grateful to have had Lynne as my realtor when I started looking at homes a year and a half ago. I did not realize how many emotions I would have putting my house I had loved for 14 years on the market. Lynne was incredibly patient, understanding, compassionate and always had time for me. She held my hand through the process at the same time she was professional, creative, savvy and focused. It took less than two weeks for her to sell it!
When we looked at new homes she understood exactly the feeling I wanted — she would even say "Nope, it's not it" just as I would be thinking it to myself. She understands people, is a great listener and gets the job done quickly and efficiently and made the process enjoyable. It was a pleasure working with Lynne — I have worked with a number of realtors and she is the most down to earth, attentive and genuine. I highly recommend Lynne!
As first-time home buyers and newcomers to DC, we had very little idea of what we wanted and where we should have been looking. We wrote to WFP before arriving for a whirlwind visit of DC a few months before our move, and Lynne immediately took us under her wing. By the time we arrived for our visit, Lynne had set up 4 days of house appointments almost perfectly catered to our needs and desires. She was incredibly knowledgeable and was careful to point out important aspects of each home and area that we may have overlooked. Not only was she honest about the pros and cons of each home, but we could tell that she truly had our best interests at heart. She was frank when she suspected a market price or cost of upkeep was too high and voiced her concerns openly with us. She listened carefully to our likes and dislikes with each property and tweaked our viewing itinerary accordingly each time. When we finally found our dream property, just one day on the market, Lynne really held our hand throughout the process. She guided us through the paperwork and red tape and ensured we obtained a top-quality home inspection and escrow service. After moving in she even set us up with landscapers, a book for first-time home owners, and a wonderful bottle of wine! :) As we expect to leave DC in a few years’ time, we are incredibly comforted in the knowledge that Lynne will be there once again to help us sell our beautiful home to another lucky family.
