PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
A first-generation American, Marc was born and raised in New York City and lived there until he left for high school and university. After university, Marc returned to the city and began his career at Sotheby’s Auction House as a department clerk. Marc’s commitment to excellence and superior service was quickly recognized and ultimately brought him to the world-renowned Sotheby’s International Realty (SIR) as the regional coordinator for the Ti-State and Mid-Atlantic regions as well as executive assistant to the Executive Vice President and head of the New York Tri-State and Mid-Atlantic regions. In this position Marc coordinated the SIR marketing/branding of luxury properties for over 20 of SIR’s regional affiliate real estate firms.
Upon the sale of Sotheby’s International Realty by the auction house to the Cendant Corporation in 2004, Marc decided to direct his career towards a more personal and client-orientated luxury carriage trade real estate firm and was quickly recruited by Washington Fine Properties to open and manage their Georgetown office.
In addition to being the Georgetown manager, Marc developed and manages the award-winning Fine Properties International Portfolio Magazine, with a circulation of 40,000 copies; is the executive assistant to Washington Fine Properties president; develops the firm's statistical analysis for the local and regional market; and is the corporate marketing manager for Armfield, Miller & Ripley Fine Properties, the company's sister firm in the Virginia Hunt Country that Washington Fine Properties purchased in 2006.
